Welcome

MJOC is one of the most active 4x4 clubs in Australia and can be often seen in convoy heading off to some of Victoria's many scenic off road tracks. The club has a number of fully qualified and experienced trip leaders who run trips from a easy and leisurely scenic drive in the Country on easy and moderate tracks, to some more challenging and sometimes extreme trails.

No matter what level of experience you have or how well equipped your car is, there will always be somewhere you can go with the Melbourne Jeep Owners Club.

Rob McPherson’s Dargo trip May 2018

Leaving home at 5:30am Saturday we were just coming in to Licola when we were overtaken by a low flying yellow JKU which we later found out was our trip photographer Mat. After a token refuel to make the Jeeps feel better, (the Prado holds 160L), we were on the road again led by Rob […]

Burgoynes to O’tooles to Flat Track, Victorian High Country

Celebrating Tim Bramstedt birthday in style with Glen Tunny, Denise Tunny and myself, we tackled the toughest tracks I have ever done myself. Turning onto Burgoynes track heading down to Mcalister’s river at the gorge was a rocky steep downhill, no dramas but going up the other side, well it was rock step after rock step with a topping […]

It was a foggy drive to our meeting place at Moe Maccas.  It was a bit of a squeeze to fit in for breakfast with all the renovations going on but managed to get a good feed and hot coffee.   Then 10 Jeeps made their way to the base of the Thompson Dam […]

Queens Camper trip

The gods would be smiling on us over the long weekend according to the Weather Bureau. With that in mind and the chance to use the Camper in the terrain it was intended for was enough to motivate the group to hook up head for Huggett’s Crossing. The meeting place was the BP at Longwarry. […]

Bush Baby Queens Birthday Adventure

Bush Baby Adventure trip report. Moments before leaving for this trip I made two important decisions. The first was to borrow my wife’s yoga mat the second was stealing a doona from one of my kids beds. That second act came back to haunt me on arrival back home. I rolled the yoga mat up […]
