Melbourne Jeep Owners Club

Hi Everyone,
Listed below are a few items for your attention:
1.Membership Renewal
A quick reminder to those who joined the club before mid June 2021 if you have not paid your membership renewal it is now overdue. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Cindy.
2. RACV - Car Restoration Video's

The RACV has contacted us about a video series on people who restore old, classic cars which they are making.

Here is the most recent video/article which they have produced in this series. This one is all about a classic 1969 Kombi

https://www.racv.com.au/royalauto/transport/cars/classic-vw-kombi-restoration.html

For these kind of videos and articles they normally spend a day filming the interview and all the nice footage of the car in action.

They have asked if anybody atMJOCwho has an old restored Jeep would be interested in featuring in a video and article. If you are interested please let either Kieran or I know and we will pass on the details.

3. Upcoming AGM and Special General Meeting

Our AGM will be held at the August Members meeting and as always all Committee roles will be declared vacant and nominees sought. We are hoping to see some new members putting up their hands to join the Committee. Details regarding Committee Positions, including Job Descriptions, have been loaded by Ian onto the Club Website.
On the same night and prior to the AGM a Special General Meeting will be convened to vote on a number of changes to our Constitution. The changes are largely housekeeping related with the most significant change relating to a new class of Member. It is proposed that in line with our Insurance Policy a Temporary Member class is created. This is to cover guests who attend our trips and events. The information relating to the Constitutional changes will soon be loaded onto our web site in the same location as the AGM information. You are currently able to see the place holders for this on the right of the screen.
4.Web Site Updates
If you haven't been onto our web site lately you will notice a lot of changes. The public home page looks similar, however, Ian has been busy creating a separate landing page for members once logged in. You will notice that it is full of updates and important information.
6. Our Next Members Meeting:
Our next Members Meeting will be held at 7:30pm on Tuesday 26th July. We will be back at our normal venue at 21A Electra Avenue Ashwood. Unfortunately both Justin and Leanne Hurley are sick with the flu at present so there will be no shop merchandise at the meeting and we will not be hosting the normal Zoom link. So please come in person.
The meeting will include trip reports for events held over the past month, a walk through of upcoming trips and updates from your Committee Members. Pizza and soft drinks will be available from 7:00pm. There will be door prizes and much more. If you are able to come and join us it would be great to see you again.

Finally we are always looking for new ideas for trips and events please let me know your suggestions.
