Hi Everyone,

December has been a busy month at MJOC with our Trip Leaders running six trips and the Events team arranging the wonderful Christmas function. I would like to especially thank Denise and Glen Tunny, Justin, Leanne and Thomas Hurley, David Rolfe and Leanne Roach for all the work they put into making the Christmas party such a great event.

If you haven't already seen the December edition of Track Watch, the magazine from 4WD Vic, have a look at page 5. Rob Sharp has written an excellent article about Narbeview Wildlife Shelter and the work that the MJOC team does to support them.

Listed below are some important points to note:

  • The Next MJOC Members Meeting, Show and Shine - The next MJOC Members meeting will be a Show and Shine. It will be held at 7:30pm on Tuesday 1st February at the Electra Avenue Hall in Ashwood. This is one week later than normal to avoid clashes with the Australia day celebrations. If you have any Jeep Gear which you would like to swap or sell please bring it along. There will be door prizes and food and drinks will be provided. This is a great opportunity to catch up with everyone and to launch our clubs 25th year celebrations. I will post the event on our club express system and a reminder will be sent out closer to the date.
  • 4WD Show- 4WD Vic has asked us to remind everyone that the Victorian Four Wheel Drive Show is back. The show will run on 20th February 2022 at Lardner Park. There will be plenty to do and see there including 4WD accessories, vehicle modifications, camping gear, off road camper trailers, fishing equipment and much more.
  • January Events - There is a training session and a number of events posted for January and more to come. Please check out our web site for more details.
  • Public Relations Role- A reminder that the Public Relations role on the Committee is vacant. If you are interested in filling this role please give me a call on 0422 007 785.
  • MJOC Muster - Planning for the MJOC Muster is well underway. The Muster will commence on Good Friday 15th April 2022 and run over the whole Easter weekend. There will be plenty of activities to get involved in for young and old and lots of opportunities to celebrate the clubs 25th anniversary. If you haven't already done so please register your interest on our web site.

On behalf of your Committee I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and COVID free New Year.

Peter Fleming
