Trip Leader of the Year Award

The Trip Leader of The Year award has been running for many years and is awarded in honor of legendary past president the late John Jefferies or 'JJ' as everyone new him by.

JJ was the person who enthusiastically coined the term "Trips, Trips and More Trips" and was renown for organising last minute trips if there was nothing on the calendar for the coming weekend. JJ was also renown for being a bit eccentric, over enthusiastic, and fearless as a driver and regularly putting his very mild KJ Cherokee into places it was not designed to go and getting through.

A perpetual trophy is awarded each year to the Trip Leader who is deemed to be the most a Trip Leader can be for the preceding year.

This includes the number of trips run, member feedback and the quality of management of those trips.
