MJOC Volunteers Do Fire Ready Cleanup at Narbeview

LEGENDS AT WORK! Shoutout to Melbourne Jeep Owners Club
A massive, heartfelt thank you to the Melbourne Jeep Owners Club who made it out to NARBEVIEW Wildlife Shelter
on the weekend to assist with fire prevention works and cleanup.
Narbeview Legend Shelley Stafford said “You guys are absolute stars for helping us get fire-ready”
“It was a bit of a chaotic day—I had to head out for two urgent rescues, and Rob and Will were busy running donations and wildlife feed over to Alex and Yarck. That left Roddy and the rest of the MJOC team to hold down the fort at the shelter, and boy, did they get stuck in!"
The team absolutely smashed the to-do list:
*
Gutters and roofs cleared of all that dry leaf litter.
*
Raking and clearing around the enclosures.
*
Trimming back dead branches and clearing the nature strip and driveway of long grass and weeds.
*
Building new shelves and finally getting our medical supplies organized!
“Things have been flat out here since the fires, and having this much-needed help makes a world of difference. We can breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing the shelter is so much safer now.”
Thank you to everyone who pitched in. We appreciate you more than we can say!
