MJOC Volunteer Hours for 2026

Members have been out assisting with all the Victorian Bushfire Relief related activities mostly in central Victoria and so far this year worked almost 1000 volunteer hours.

Members have been volunteering their time with many different communities effected by the recent fires including around Alexandra, Buxton, Yea, Tallarook and surrounding areas. Working with local communities including local CFA , Narbeview Wildlife Shelter and other wildlife shelters needing help as well as farmers and others needing property clean ups etc.

We have also organised a truck load of supplies and donated items including Veterinary medical supplies and other much needed items immediately after the fire.

MJOC has a proud history of assisting with bushfire relief including Black Saturday (2009), Black Summer (2019) and many other bushfire events and has worked with both Four Wheel Drive Victoria and Blaze Aid.

We acknowledge and respect Victorian Traditional Owners as the original custodians of Victoria’s land and waters, their unique ability to care for Country and deep spiritual connection to it. We honour Elders past, present and emerging, whose knowledge and wisdom has ensured the continuation of culture and traditional practices.
