Four Wheel Drive Victoria (FWDV) in association with Affinity Insurance Brokers has arranged a comprehensive Insurance Program to protect the activities of Affiliated Clubs and their Members. These insurances are all included as part of your membership fees.

Victoria contains some of the best four wheel driving in Australia and is the only state that can offer easy access to a diversity of four wheel drive tracks that encompass experiences ranging from desert to mountain snow.

Trained Trip Leaders

Our club is not like many Social Media groups that do not require any training for leaders or drivers. Who knows what might happen on their trips?
Most of our 4WD trips are run by Trained Trip Leaders.

Except for Easy rated trips and social events All our serious 4WD trips are run by experienced members who have completed our Advanced Training and Trip Leader Training Courses. This means you can be confident you will be safe, and wont get left behind in the bush.

The club runs a wide range of trips, which are managed by trained trip leaders and are rated to suit the driver and vehicles capabilities and to suit different types of tracks and terrain.

To attend club trips and participate as a driver, all drivers must have completed the MJOC Basic Driver Training Course or a similar * approved course elsewhere. (*documented proof required).

Rated 4WD Trips

To attend 4WD trip we ensure our members have a minimum level of driving skills and training to ensure everyone stays safe while on an MJOC Trip. Members attend a free MJOC Proficency Driver Training course which is based on the Four Wheel Drive Victoria Profficiency Course with additional Jeep and MJOC content. Our experienced trainers will guide you through the Jeep technology and 4WD systems and various driving skills to get you ready for your MJOC trips.

Stewardship - Giving Back to our Community and Recreation

Our club has been involved ion many volunteer activities since the very early years of the club. We have been involved in bushfire relief with Blaze Aid and many track clearing and bush clean ups activities supporting Four Wheel Drive Victoria and Government Land managers such as Parks Victoria and DEECA. 
Activities have included - Emergency relief for farmers delivering water and supplies
Fence rebuilding with Blaze Aid
Community assistance at Narbieview Wildlife Shelter
Track Clearing
Bush Clean Ups
Fire damage rubbish cleanup and community work
Many other bushfire relief activities. We continue to do volunteer work in rural communities. Please contact us if you are aware of any activities we could be involved with.

There’s more to our club than just Jeeps and 4WD adventures — it’s also about great people, good times and plenty of laughs!

We hold monthly members’ meetings and a range of social events throughout the year. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet fellow Jeep enthusiasts, swap stories and talk all things Jeep in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Our meetings are informal and include free dinner (pizza or hot dogs or pasta etc), drinks and plenty of time to socialise.
Make sure you register on the website to be in the Lucky Door Prize draw and to assist with catering.

We also hold a monthly raffle, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs — simply come along and grab a ticket for your chance to win!

Meetings are generally held in the Mount Waverley area at Ashwood Hall.

Club Permit Scheme

As a benefit to members the club offers the Vicroads Club Permit Scheme (CPS) for members who own a vehicle that is more than 25 years old and is in a roadworthy condition. The Permit allows for either 45 or 90 days of use per yearThe Club has Policies and Procedures in place, which deal with how the Club Permit Scheme runs within our Club and considers members obligations and compliance with Vicroads rules and regulations. To ensure members understand the above responsibility and the Vicroads Log Book system, on application members sign and undergo a written contractual agreement to follow the policies and procedures of the MJOC CPS which includes taking responsibility for any possible modifications and maintaining the vehicle in roadworthy condition.

he scheme is only available to current financial members and members must remain financial to maintain inclusion in the CPS. A lapse of membership may result in vehicle becoming unregistered after 14 days or more.
